Franklin, PA Man Acquitted of Terroristic Threats
The City of Erie Police, acting on a complaint from an ex-girlfriend of Franklin, PA, filed terroristic threat charges against the man. Police alleged that the man telephoned his ex-girlfriend repeatedly and, in the course of an argument, threatened to “slice her throat” and harm others in her family. As a result, the man was detained in the Erie County Prison on a probation violation for five months while he awaited trial.
After three days of trial, during which the man was defended by Erie criminal defense lawyer Tim George, a jury returned a verdict of not guilty.
