New Blossoms New Life Tournament P G Team Enjoys Beautiful Erie Morning

August 28, 2010, ERIE, Pa — Purchase, George & Murphey, P.C., P.C. were pleased to again be a major sponsor of the New Blossoms New Life Tournament held today at Elk Valley Golf Course in Fairview, PA. The event was very well attended. There were so many golfers who wanted to attend that not all could be accommodated in the morning tournament. So, organizers arranged for a mini-afternoon tournament to follow.

A good time was had by all. The P & G Team acquitted itself honorably in this scramble format, coming in at 10 under. Even after losing our “A” player (Tim Presta had to leave after the 14th hole for family obligations) the team soldiered on. Indeed, we birdied the next three holes after Presta left us. Some suggested we’d carried him long enough and his absence buoyed us to victory. Others suggested we might have made eagle had he been with us. We’ll never know for sure.
