July 31, 2011, McKean, PA — Yesterday I used a chance visit from a website optimization salesman to blog about my ties to Edinboro . (Yes, it’s true. Sometimes I blog about things just because it helps my Pennsylvania injury law website). Today, I thought, why shouldn’t I blog about my ties to my hometown, McKean , Pennsylvania? After all, if someone searches for “McKean Lawyer” I definitely want our Pennsylvania accident website to make the first page.
I live in the City of Erie now, but I grew up in McKean (right behind the Shur-Fine and Matz’s gas station) and my ties to the community run deep. I went to McKean Elementary School , James W. Parker Middle School , and General McLane High School (Class of 1984 …yup, that’s me in the color picture second from the top on the GM alum website ). My parents (John and Olivia Purchase) served on the borough sewer authority and the McKean borough council. In fact, my father was part of the controversial movement to bring water treatment to McKean back in the late ’70s. (Look, I think it was the right thing to do but if you still think septic tanks are the best thing since sliced bread, well, we’re going to have to agree to disagree on that).
My friends and I played in Lamson’s Run when we were little and graduated to Middlemeyer’s swimming hole in Elk Creek when we got to middle school. By high school, we were camping in the woods along Elk Creek and looking for trouble, although there was precious little of it to find out there in those days.
Seriously, if you’re a McKean resident and you think you might have a Pennsylvania injury case (car accident , motorcycle accident , dog bite , truck accident , slip and fall or other accident case) or if you wonder if a serious injury or loss may have been caused by medical or hospital mistakes , then you can get help from someone with real ties to the McKean Community.
