One of our favorites is New Blossoms New Life, the local charity that provides help to families struggling to pay for medical fertility assistance. We have long been a major sponsor the charity’s annual golf tournament and this year we expanded our support to become major sponsors of the organization’s second major fundraiser, a casino night held annually in the spring at Rainbow Gardens.
New Blossoms New Life was founded by Renea and Chris Kovski, the parents of Maggie Kovski. Maggie’s young life was tragically lost in an accident in May of 2007. In memory of Maggie, her parents and friends determined to create a charity that would help other couples to literally grow into a family. Their fledgling effort in 2007 has grown into one of Erie’s strongest and most vibrant home grown charities.
The event was a great success. The volunteers and supporters of New Blossoms have grown this event year after year and their ongoing support promises even bigger things in years to come. Of course, that dealer at table number 2 was quite a draw himself, we think.
