Erie Lawyer Supports St Patricks Irish Festival

September 17, 2010, Erie, PA — The St. Patrick’s Irish Festival kicks off today beginning at 5 pm at Rainbow Gardens in Erie. The event continues through Sunday at 6 pm. A fun mix of Irish performers, vendors, food and, of course, some of Ireland’s most refreshing malt beverages, this year’s event continues a proud Erie tradition dating back to 1993 when the festival was held at the St. Patrick’s Cauley Center on 3rd Street.

I’m happy to have been a volunteer for this festival for all but two of its years. Partly for the fun of it, partly because of my friendship with the festival’s two long term chairmen, Mark Shaw and Rick Filippi, I have had the pleasure of dealing blackjack at and otherwise supporting this festival since its beginning. This year I’ll open the festival at the blackjack tables at 5 pm tonight. I promise at least two blackjacks per shoe. If I don’t deal ’em, I’ll buy Guinness for the table. How’s that for a deal? Guaranteed two to one payouts on every shoe or free beer from an Erie lawyer! How can you go wrong?
