Erie Injury Lawyers 12th Street Pedestrian Struck By Hit And Run Driver

April 5, 2011, ERIE, PA — Police are looking for a hit and run driver who struck a pedestrian on East 12th Street in Erie last night. Witnesses describe the vehicle as a dark colored Jeep or Dodge Magnum with heavy front-end damage and a deployed air bag. The Erie hit and run accident happened near 9:10 p.m. near the intersection of East 12th Street and German Street. The victim, an unidentified 18-year-old man, was crossing 12th Street when he was struck. He was taken to UPMC Hamot by Emergycare. Initial reports indicate that the pedestrian’s injuries are not life threatening but are serious and include a fractured leg and perhaps facial fractures.
