August 4, 2011, ERIE, PA — People interested in serving the northwest Pennsylvania community as an Emergency Medical Technician can apply for classes being held in Townville, Pennsylvania this September.
The Townville Ambulance Service is accepting applications now for EMT classes that will be held at the Townville Volunteer Fire Department (33441 North Main Street). Classes for the Pennsylvania public safety position begin September 19 and run through February. Classes will held each Monday and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 6 to 10 p.m.
The Erie injury and trauma training classes cost $125 and applicants are expected to bring both a CPR mask and a copy of the text “AAOS Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured (Ninth Edition ).” More information can be had by contacting Sue Brown at (814) 967-2068 or by registering on-line at the Community College of Allegheny County website .
