October 18, 2010, Erie, PA — An Erie car accident last Friday put an Erie woman in Hamot Medical Center where she remained in fair condition Sunday. The accident, first reported in this blog HERE , occurred Friday about 5:30 p.m. on Route 99/Edinboro Road near Reichert Road.
The injured woman, Emily Wetherbee, 24, of Erie, was northbound on Route 99 in a GMC Jimmy when a southbound Ford Ranger crossed the center line and struck her, causing her vehicle to roll. The driver of the Ford was James C. Grove, III, 22, also of Erie. Mr. Grove was also transported to Hamot but is no longer a patient there.
Our hopes are with Ms. Wetherbee that she is soon released and on the path to a full recovery.
