April 11, 2012, ERIE, PA — A 10 year old girl was injured in an Erie pedestrian car accident at the intersection of East 13th Street and Ash Streets yesterday. According to early reports, the girl was running west through the intersection when she was hit by a car southbound on Ash.
The girl, whose identity has not been published, was conscious at the scene while being cared for by EmergyCare first responders. Her condition was not immediately known.
The accident happened near 2:40 p.m. and reports indicate traffic was heavy. Northbound traffic on Ash was stopped while southbound traffic was moving slowly, according to police.
